Podu Verde - Iaşi

Located in Copou, quite close to University on the right side in a big white house ( in case that you miss the big white banner on a fence near the house). No parking spot, just a few if you try to park on the little alley that leads you to the entrence. The menu offers you a lot of options, even for vegetarians ( you can ask different options for what you want in order to meet your expectations). The food is tasty, decent prices, the atmosphere makes you feel welcomed. The restaurant offeres delivery and for an open air meal you can sit outside in the lovely courtyard they have.I highly recommend Podu Verde!

A new record was set by this establishment: no non-alcoholic beer ("the delivery guy didn't come"), no soups ("they are only served for lunch"), no country-side potatoes ("they are not in the menu" - I wonder where we got our inspiration from) and no Caprese salad (for that I got no explanation, only an embarrassed smile from the waiter). They DID have "Pizza Margherita" which was just dough with a smear on top. It sat on our table for 1 hour although we didn't have space at the table and we signaled repeatedly that are finished after the first slice. If they are still around, I will return to take a picture of that insult to taste. The other thing they had was a dull eggplant salad which I could cook better wearing a blindfold. To add to the insult I must mention the snootiness of the waiter that told us they have no free table - 1 yr ago when we wanted to try this "top restaurant" of Iasi. A wonderful experience!

The restaurant is located next to beautiful Copou garden. Delicious food, very good looking plating, without being pretentions. The personnel is really kind. The interior garden is charming and quiet. All these give the place a truly good vibe. Podu Verde is a great option for both casual meals and small events like anniversaries (I experienced both). Contemporary Moldavian hospitality. Totally recommend.

The hummus was delicious, the focaccia was with garlic, but it could have more garlic, so I ordered extra garlic sauce. The place is very nice and cozy!

Nice place near the Copou Park. It is a great place where to serve a dinner but also lunch. Nice staff.
