Restaurant Centrul Vechi - Iaşi

Tempted by the positive reviews here and there, I went to Centrul Vechi for a festive dinner with my husband. First impression was not so good, as in the restaurant smelled like food (that specific canteen scent) and we could hear the activities in the...kitchen. It didn't have the most clean appearance either, there were crumbs on the chair I sat, some food left on an empty table sat there the entire evening. Overall, the atmosphere was not so enjoyable taking into account also the music that was a combination of old, older and oldest hits with some of the latest MTV tracks. Service was good, also the food was great, really tasty and the wine saved the evening. I don't think I would come back.

New place , great place , good food , good wines , placed in the 'heart ' of iasi , on the ground floor of one of the finest hotels in the city , and from what i saw with a CEO who knows what the...customer wants it 's no dout a place that shouldn 't be overlooked . A must stop if u pass by iasi .

Recently open, restaurant centrul vechi successfully combines the old modern styles in both it 's design and atmosphere. The food is great staff was professional, but still friendly which is a hard combination to come-by ; It sure was a great experience and I 'd...come back whenever I 'm visiting Iasi!

This is one of my favourites restaurants in Iasi. The location is great, right in the centre of the city and I found here probably the most tasty meals I've ever had in a restaurant. The menu is very well structured and covers a wide...range of meals. I've discovered as I came back to this restaurant that there is a display with many awards that the Chef won at competitions around the world so I guess this explains the fantastic dishes and the amazing taste. I think there are more advantages for those who are visiting Iasi as the restaurant is part of Astoria Hotel, right next to another historical and beautiful place the Traian Hotel, so they can enjoy all the great dishes during they stay without having to look any further.

I had a little party for my kid baptism theta and I liked the food. If you go there you must try duck confit. It is perfect.Everything I tasted was simply incredibile. They have a retro look for the restaurant that is very appropriate.It is a good place for meetings or small parties. The waiters served wearing immaculate white gloves. Really impressed!
