We have been here for many years! We still know the restaurant in the main road in Idar as well as in Algenrodt and now in Idar-Oberstein! The family are the most friendly hosts far and wide, unobtrusive but always friendly and accommodating! You just feel comfortable with Nedo and his team! The dishes are typical Italian and excellent! The pizza excellent, great dough and coating! Meat and fish a dream, the salads always crunchy and fresh! The service is 1A! Attention and in the background, but always because if you have any wishes! The card is rather small with selected us always fresh ingredients, no mass goods. There are daily recommendations from the house that you should try! And as dessert a homemade Tiramisu! Wonderful! The restaurant is located on the market square on the foot of the Rocky Church, idyllic! Inside with a lot of charm in a great ambience, in summer it is also possible to sit on it out! The Al Castello is one of our favorite Italians, we appreciate the family very much and always notice the friendly handling of guests! Who doesn't feed happy here is not to help! Sometimes it's funny. a pizzeria is right next to the next pizzeria. we chose the al castello and not for tina pizzeria. that everyone knows about the waiting queue on the super market. the prices rise and the small ton is at 11,50 euro, the mozzarella with mushrooms in large at 9,90 euro. my pizza was burned down (see photo). therefore there was a new example, unconditional and fast, which was also delicious. a real excuse or a marsala or espresso to the house? in the fall of tina, by the way, an apérol splash of 4,50 euro with double quantity, al castello 4,90 euro.

The food was great! the owner was very sweet, attentive and welcoming. after eating he offered us cup cappuccino, unfortunately, we were in a hurry as our parking time was almost over if not, we would definitely stay longer. I really recommend eating here. come back to any event!
