Badisher Hof - Idar-Oberstein

Previous, very often for some decent meals to go there. Was very bad compared to previous times. The portions are small, the price is high. Not very satisfied.

This restaurant was recommended by one of the local shop owners for lunch. Unfortunately I lost track of time and didn't get there until 3 pm. but the grill was still open and I'd come for speisbraten, so I got lucky. My lunch came with...salad bar very fresh, 5-6 different types of salad) and potatoes in my case french fries- perfectly fried with just the right amount of salt). This was my first taste of speisbraten and I really liked it.The portion was large enough that I decided to take some back for my daughter to try. she also really liked the flavor). I needed to catch a train so the waitress packaged up what I couldn't finish and brought me a bill very quickly, and with a smile.

Badisher Hof is a very nice local restaurant specializing in the local favorite speissbraten. They prepare the meat to grill over a open beech wood fire right in the restaurant. The result is outstanding, delicious and is always our favorite place when in Idar-Oberstein. It...is very nicely decorated and clean. Very good service.

It was a wonderful atmosphere and the food really delicious.

The last time I had the Zanderfilet, was very delicious! Service super and as always a great salad buffet!
