Im Romantik Berg- Und Jagdhotel Gabelbach

We regularly enjoy the wonderful Sunday brunch. The Hotel Gabelbach is located in the middle of the forest, near the Kickelhahn. Very tastefully decorated. Friendly and helpful staff. Very recommended, not only for a weekend getaway.

The whole day in Nuremberg was on the way and then visited Gera (Thüringen). But at some point you get tired and you should hear it. In Ilmenau, on the Rennsteig, in the middle of the forest, a complaint showed me the way to the Berg- und Jagdhotel Gabelbach. Questions don't cost anything, so go to the reception. The hotel rooms were almost all occupied, but you have for 55, € a country house apartment where you had wonderfully slept. Of course, a dinner in the restaurant area with a dense wooden ceiling and a fireplace was sprayed with a local atmosphere. On the way back to the apartment you saw a large illuminated indoor pool that I did not use because you wanted to get into the horizontal as soon as possible. This 4 hotel has its own Schafspelz-Shop on the premises. But in any case another reason to take this historic house (Altes Kurhotel since 1911) closer to another visit. Because, although one had only one night, one was kindly served, the price was right, and the location was pointed, not least because the hotel complex is surrounded by an approximately 8ha park. Very good hotel, the five stars I would raise smoothly to ten stars. Wars eight days at the hotel and could completely shut down. The surroundings were fantastic, we had 30 cm of snow. The breakfast buffet leaves nothing to be desired. Special food requests were super implemented by the kitchen. (Because of my allergies, I could not always eat a la card.) Cleanliness and service throughout the house were excellent. The staff always had an open ear for us. We will book this hotel again for our holiday. This hotel in Thuringia is highly recommended for nature lovers and recreational visitors.
