The ambiance is well-furnished, and the hospitality is authentically Ilonggo. I appreciate how warmly they welcome every guest. It's a 10/10 for me; I'll definitely be coming back, as I always do.
The food is delicious! I highly recommend it for anyone who enjoys pork dishes.
The restaurant offers a delightful combination of Filipino and Japanese flavors.
The creative name attracted us to try oishibatchoi. The 5pcs tempura is cruchy but salty, The 5pcs California maki is very saucy, but tastes nothing special. The original batchoi ramen is simply like a ramen (in miso soup) but with batchoi toppings only. Didnt taste the batchoy flavor. Overall, it is probably similar to your typical fastfood chain like kitaro.
I call it expectation vs reality. 1. Food doesnt taste Japanese at all 2. Cuts of meat are not the good ones 3. Price is super out of proportion to quality 4. Utensils are not served 5. 1 Staff was on her phone in a dining table beside mine the whole time 6. Batchoy in the small stalls along the street is even tastier I gave 1 star just for the staff who served me with a smile, otherwise there should be an option for 0 stars.
