Sassineri - IMPRUNETA

We went to the restaurant today in the wonderful setting of Impruneta, surrounded by well-kept and lush vegetation. It seems to me to be an ideal place for receptions and parties, but also for spending a day outdoors. Just renovated and the owners welcoming and super helpful but above all what struck me is the passion with which they thought of everything... the internal part is waiting to be experienced even in the cold season, with the fireplace and the warmth of the wooden furnishings... truly congratulations, we will be back soon! Ah, the restaurant is exceptional, the raw materials are super. The meat is really good. Compliments to the chef.

We stayed at the Hotel Villa Cesi for one night and visited this restaurant in the hotel in the evening. It wasn't well attended and we were almost alone there. We were served by 2 extremely nice waiters and had a very good meal there. There was even a Prosecco and a small appetizer for free. We particularly liked the decor, the food itself and the service there. Definitely a tip.

Nel bel bosco di Impruneta si trova il ristorante "Sassi Neri" con cucina tipica toscana. L'ambiente è bellissimo sia per l'arredamento che per la vista sul bosco circostante, ci si sente come immersi in un paradiso verde. La struttura offre la possibilità di mangiare all'interno, sulla veranda o all'aperto durante la bella stagione.

While my steak and scallions was very good, my husband’s ‘peposo’ beef stew was literally disgusting. It smelled bad and the meat was tough, nothing like what this typical Tuscan stew should be. But the worst thing was that when my husband sent the dish back, the chef proceeded to loudly curse and complain, saying the dish was perfect, as if we were idiots. He never came out of the kitchen to confront us and ask what was wrong, he just kept yelling from inside the kitchen. So unprofessional and rude we left, paying our bill and crossing this restaurant off the list forever!

Excellent menu and the food was delicious. Lovely dishes. Friendly staff and a nice restaurant inside a hotel
