We were really hungry after a hike today and came across this small but very tasty snack bar by chance. It's a little hidden in a small passage, but it was actually worth looking for. The first impression: very clean without the smell of frying that is so often found. Brightly laid out with two tables and benches. We were looking for a home-style snack bar and found it (who wants the same old kebab? The operating couple was very nice, we had a great time, the boss is a fan of 1. FC Köln... Now to the most important thing, the food. We ordered currywurst with fries and mayonnaise. The sausage was fried just right, the sauce was homemade and simply fantastic, if you order spicy it's just perfect without burning. But the highlight are the French fries, large Belgian fries, fried to perfection, cross-fried on the outside, fluffy on the inside and seasoned with a delicious seasoning salt. The mayonnaise comes in a separate bowl. The dish was beautifully decorated with herbs. The prices are completely reasonable, especially considering the sauces, coleslaw and tzatziki are made entirely from scratch. Honestly? I haven't had such a good snack meal in a long time. Unfortunately I live 170 km away, but when I'm close again, I know where I'll eat! I also managed to test our new Goltstein snack bar. I tried the gyro. Fries were sufficient and delicious. Homemade coleslaw was also delicious. The gyro was ok but not enough for the price. We have two Greek restaurants about 1 km away that *pop* because they have more meat on them and are no more expensive than you in terms of price. I can still go to the salad bar and put together a nice starter. Or if I order out of the house, I get a salad with it.
