Denny's - Independence

I would give an extra star if our server had been a little more personable and better equipped to handle the situation with grace. My partner's meal was brought out late; as a result, it was cold and had a slight fishy taste, which he didn't enjoy. On the other hand, my meal was presented beautifully. I had the two scrambled eggs with hash browns, served simply with some crispy bacon. The bacon was a bit too crunchy for my liking, but it was still enjoyable. My partner ordered the new bourbon steak with steak fries and spiced, glazed corn. While the steak was a bit on the sweeter side for our taste, it looked stunning and was cooked perfectly. The corn, however, was the highlight of our meal — wonderfully savory with a hint of sweetness. They definitely need to bring in experienced servers, and I hope they can assign someone to the day shift who has a more personable approach. Overall, it was a decent experience with room for improvement.

This restaurant is a complete disappointment. If they can't manage the staff properly, they shouldn't be in business. I received no greeting upon arrival, and despite several people coming in after me, no one acknowledged my presence. I had placed an online order and ended up waiting over 35 minutes past my pickup time before I finally requested a refund. The woman handling the refund went to retrieve my ticket but returned with my food and asked if I still wanted it. I can't help but wonder how long it had been sitting there, especially since it takes 10-15 minutes to prepare. Seriously? Nobody could have brought it out? Who wants to eat cold food? Another family sat down before me and ended up leaving because their server never came to take their order. I strongly suggest you go elsewhere and avoid this place at all costs.

Finally, a Denny's worth visiting! They may not have had a perfect day, but you could tell they were doing their best. The staff was friendly, and the restaurant was clean. However, the service was a bit slow, likely due to a kitchen that was understaffed. The food was average, but not bad at all. It seems like they just needed a day off to regroup. The menu was impressive, and there were many tempting items I can’t wait to try. I will definitely be back!

There were 8 in my group. they sat us right away. our waiter was amazing, the place was clean inside and outside and eating was delicious. denny’s also has the best coffee. food: 5/5

Other Denny’s we have tried are really good and well priced for what you get. A bit cleaner too. Every time we’ve come to this location it’s just sooo slow. An hour of waiting just for them to tell us they don’t have milk for the drinks. Just the drinks! Not even the food. Severely understaffed. Pass this one unless you have all night to hang out. If you must have Denny’s go to a different location. They aren’t even busy most of the time. Barely any tables. The cook must be drunk or something.
