Lonney's Lunch Wagon - Independence

My partner ordered the garlic chicken, and I had the Ahi Tuna. I found the chicken bowl to be dry, and the tuna was just average—fat and not very impressive.

Having lived in Hawaii for four years, I've had my fair share of amazing food. However, I was really let down by this restaurant. A proper Hawaiian meal isn't complete without some mac salad, which was sadly missing. The chicken was 100% fried, but it lacked flavor, and the rice was just okay. After reading all the positive reviews, my expectations were high, but this place really fell short. I'm sorry to say, I was disappointed.

Great find in Independence. Pretty popular place on a Saturday. Enjoyed our dish. Coming back to try more..

Have had great experiences here previously but today was a big disappointment. Waited over 40 minutes for my food. I was walking up to the counter to ask for a refund and to cancel my order when my food happened to come out. Not a knock on the quality, it was very good, but dine-in wait times should never be that long, let alone a food truck.

This was my first time eating at Lonney's. BOY HOWDY !! Fresh Tuna !!
