Mugs Up Diner - Independence

I stopped by with my Grand kids, we had the Root beer floats, excellent! Clean restaurant, friendly service and a nice sweet treat for the Kiddos.

Complete with carhops. We always try to visit this iconic place. Loose meet burgers with CheeseWhiz and homemade root beer. It’s been open since 1956.

I love this place! The zip burger is so good, loose meat hamburger with spices, onions mustard. If I was really hungry I would go with the double zip burger, fries and/or onion rings, share a Hummus platter, maybe have a Black Cow (root bear float) or peanut butter shake... and get a cute t shirt to go...

Food was quick and good. I liked the cozy atmosphere.

Old fashioned drive-in complete with car hops. Zip burgers are very tastey and tbe home-made rootbeer was excellent. I should have bought a gallon to go. I would be a regular if I lived in Independence.
