Pier 88 Boiling Seafood Independence

The food was fresh and served hot, the customer service was incredibly friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere was really inviting. I just wish I had taken a picture! The only unusual aspect was that customers are allowed to write on the walls with Sharpies. Aside from that, we had a great experience and will definitely return!

The food was excellent! I enjoyed the shrimp and sweet potato fries. The restaurant was clean and the staff was friendly. However, I had been searching for places that offered crab cakes, and while this restaurant had a wide variety of seafood and my shrimp was fantastic, they unfortunately didn’t have crab cakes. They do offer shrimp, crab, and sausage boils, though! I’ll definitely be returning with my family for a crab boil!

The food was fantastic, and we arrived about an hour before closing. The service was excellent as well. However, one thing I found off-putting was that they started mopping right next to our table. While I understand the need to clean up and get started on closing down, it's never appropriate to mop or vacuum while customers are still eating.

1st timer! I came here for my little cousins 15th birthday and they had a nice set up for us. 1 server, but she handled our large party very well. The food was AMAZING!!!! I got the Seafood boil with shrimp and snow crab legs and OH MY GOSH! The corn and potatoes were seasoned just right. Everything was exquisite ??

Very great service! The outside of the building made me not want to go in. The atmosphere really isnt inviting. Black sharpie all over the walls of people signatures. The food in the other hand was absolutely amazing! ? our server was very polite and quick on her toes. She took our orders as we decided what we wantes, explained the me u before we even had questions. She was wearing Ray Bans didnt catch her name. Our appetizers came in a timely manner. It is happy hour from 3 to 5 or something like that, so of couse we couldn't pss up mozzarella sticks and calamari. The boil bags is what the majority of us got. It was my mothers birthday so it we had a party of 12. Then some had order chicken tenders, they was surprisingly very big and delicious. We will go back here. Oh dont let me forget napkins at everybtable and she brought out 2 trays of sauces with our orders. ? All she had to do was get our drinks at that point. So satisfied with this restraunt.
