Hedge Row American Bistro

We ate at the bar and it was lovely. Drinks, food, service, ambiance everything was superb!

This was our second visit to Hedgerow, with the first time being within three months of their opening. This time, we had a reservation at 7:15 pm on Valentines' day. The hostess was not welcoming, to put it kindly. We were seated near the door. Fortunately, we were not offered a place to hang coats and hats, since we needed them as buffer against the draft! Our waitress was efficient but not particularly service oriented. I think she was stressed. Generally the people working here seemed unhappy. What a shame! The food was good (4 stars out of 5). We started with the fish tacos tasty! Delicate, chewy breading on the fish, sauce not well distributed in the lettuce wrap but all generally tasty. The scallops were perfectly cooked and I enjoyed them with the polenta and kale. The pasta bolognese was also flavorful of lamb, though dry. The roasted carrot we ordered on the side were practically raw. I love wines from Sonoma county, so I tried their house red and house white from Sonoma they were OK but not what I expect from that region.

We enjoyed the eclectic and fresh menu. The fish taco appetizer was very tasty. One of the better ribeye steaks in a long time. Also had the pork chop entree, which was very flavorful. Great experience.

My niece and I had lunch at Hedge Row on Valentine's Day. We had the best time, everything was outstanding. We could not have been happier with our experience. We will come back! The beet salad was wonderful, the burger, mushroom sandwich, and kale/white bean soup, all delicious!

Unfortunately this restaurant closes on 12 juli 2020.
