The Stacked Pickle-96th Street

We made reservations (10 people) several days before the time and they called to confirm a few hours before the reservation. We came and they had top tables that were pushed against half a wall and all 10 chairs sitting on the same side of the table. They said they had a lot to walk, and that's why they brought us to this strange institution. When we said that this configuration would not work, they asked a table of people (who have already eaten their food) if they were willing to move. We then told them that we were going and the table with the people eating was up and went. That was very scary because I talked to them before the time to confirm that we still have 10 people, and they thought that would be an acceptable set for 10 people coming together for dinner and drinks. Very disappointing.

It seemed like they were a little short, but the waiters worked hard to be attentive. We had a big group of 10 people. The food was great and arrived in time. A person had a flat bread that was a bit overdue, but they quickly made it new and quickly brought to the table. My pliers were excellent. Great special on pails of beer.

When we expressed our dissatisfaction with the arrangement, they asked another table of patrons if they would be willing to move. Ultimately, we decided to leave, and the table of diners who had already received their food also left in solidarity. This was very disappointing, as we had specifically confirmed with the restaurant that we would have space for 10 people to gather for dinner and drinks.

It appeared that the restaurant was understaffed, but the waiters were making a great effort to provide attentive service to all customers. Our party of 10 enjoyed delicious food that arrived promptly. One diner received a slightly overcooked flatbread, but it was promptly replaced and served to the table in a timely manner. My pork tenderloin was outstanding. They also had a fantastic special on buckets of domestic beers.

We had a group in town and they were so accommodating to our changing group size. The food was great and they had a nice beer selection. Our server was wonderful, quick and got everything right with our group. Highly recommend this place
