Höttinger Alm - Innsbruck Stadt

I was provided this recommendation by my Air BnB host as it is a common spot for locals to hike and bike to. I started from the city center and hiked about hours to Hottinger Alm pretty strenuous up hill climb almost the...whole way but all either paved or gravel. Ran into lots of friendly locals. Was definitely ready for a good meal when I arrived. I attempted to speak German but struggled with some words and the server there was more than happy to speak English with me! Had some amazing SpinatKnoedel and a small salad with a Varlaengerter (similar to an Americano). Refilled my water from the fountain nearby and decided to hike over to Seegrube. Perfect pit stop for some refueling and a beautiful view!

As a local in Innsbruck, I highly recommend making the hike over to Höttinger Alm to tourists on the Nordkette. The food is always good and reasonably priced, and if you are assertive the service is also great (otherwise they will assume you are there...to stay relax for a while). And with that view, you can't go wrong. Hiking over to the Höttinger Alm is the best way to avoid getting charged double the regular price for mediocre food as is the case if you eat at the restaurants at the top of the Nordkette cable car.

Fahre immer mal wieder mit dem MTB auf die alm.die aussicht bei einem kühlen bier macht die anstrengung gleich wieder vergessen.auch zu fuß ist man über gramat relativ schnell oben.Absolut zu empfehlen!!!

Hütte mit bestem Blick über Innsbruck. Mit Rad, Ebike, zu Fuss oder mit der Nordkettenbahn auf die Seegrube und dann hinunterspazieren. Beste Kaspressknödel und sehr freundlicher Service.Top!

....an eine klassische Alm. Schneller Service, feines Essen, gute Preise. Mehr muss man nicht sagen.
