Maximilian Hotel - Innsbruck Stadt

We stayed at this hotel for two nights on the way back from a ski holiday in Italy to see as much Innsbruck as possible before returning home. The welcome was warm and efficient and the very pleasant staff was always available to book advice, help, tables in restaurants, etc. I lost my bus pass discount card that was issued on arrival to us and this was immediately replaced without complaint. The room sizes varied, but all were immaculately clean and comfortable and the location on the edge of the old town was perfect to see the best of Innsbruck. Special mention must go to breakfast, which was an amazing spread with something for everyone. There were excellent egg, bacon and 2 types of sausage for our English taste, 6 types of cereal, more fruits including exotic varieties) than you could call cold meat, cheese, yoghurts, toast, bread and pastry cakes that were all excellent. The hotel is a perfect starting point to see the city and good value for money. The airport is only a short taxi ride away, costs 15-20 euros, depending on the route taken and the taxi rank is directly above the road. Alternatively, you can catch a tram. I don't think they offer a meal, but there are so many restaurants nearby that this was no problem. I would not hesitate to recommend the hotel to anyone who makes a city trip and we thank the staff for a very pleasant stay

We booked this hotel on our trips through the alps right in the heart of the city, still only 10 minutes drive from the motorway. Friendly staff and beautiful rooms. The only drawback is that the hotel garage did not have a good charger for my car.

Wow. This was exactly what we needed in Innsbruck. There were several hotels to chose from and all of the sites pointed to the Hotel Maximilian as the best one in the area. We can now see why. The hotel was very very clean, quiet and the beds were comfortable. We especially loved the staff and their eagerness to help us in any way possible with shopping, transport and restaurants which are all situated within an easy walk to the hotel. As someone in an earlier post mentioned there isnt a bad room in the hotel which I completely agree. Lastly, the breakfast was absolutely exceptional. I travel quite a bit for business and have seen good breakfast buffets but this was over the top. Meats, cheeses, fish, eggs, vegetables and every fruit imaginable was offered in the buffet. Unfortunately we had to end our trip early due tol family matter as we would have loved to stay here for another week to see even more of what Innsbruck and Hotel Maximilian has to offer. The Hotel offers what they call a very nice breakfast. They are under promising, and over delivering......breakfast is absolutely excellent and the service staff incredibly attentive.....don 't miss it!!
