Strand's Old House Restaurant

Everyone loved the setting and the meal. The service was superb! The appetizers were spectacular! The entrees were perfect and the dessert exquisite! The Longfellows

Really great food, Services was great as well. Short walk up the hill from The Canterbury Inn. Well groomed place.

Took my wife and her Aunt and Uncle to Strands each summer for our Anniversary the food os fantastic and the service is great they even made a special dessert for the Anniversary (50th) of my wifes Aunt and Uncle

We were here last year and the food and service was amazing !! Not true for this year :( The waitress we had forgot our buns, had to keep asking her for drinks. The caesar was okay but not much on the plate. I ordered the stuffed chicken like I had last year and it didn't even compare. It was dry with very little sauce on the chicken. I got 3 small carrots that weren't fully cooked and 1 asparagus. Very disappointed was really looking forward to the meal we had last year. I don't think I will go back, as it is expensive and not as good as it use to be.

We were a bit on the late side of the very hot day- no reservations- and they took us in with open arms. Our server Mike was a tremenous help- deciding can sometimes be hard- and the servers always have the scoop on what is the best- and he hit it right on the money. It was fabulous! From the blackberry martini, to the Ahi tuna, to the Callebaut chocolate brownie- mmmmmmmmmm! I wish they were closer to home, I would be there often! Great meal- thank you!
