Mcnab's Bistro - Inverness

When my sister and I were in the hotel. eating was good, although the service was a little slow. I have chickens with potatoes and she has fish and chips. both were good. suppe was good too. the personal was friendly. the atmosphere is very relaxed.

We are here two years ago and loved it. So we wanted to go back, but although the opening times said it was open and google was closed. When we came back in the next night, there were two people inside, eating and a waitress. we wanted to come in, but it would not open, and the waitress shook us the hand. There were no signs that they were closed or so, not even in googel.

Mcnabs was very recommended by a friend. not sure what happened, but it lacked charm or good attribute. we had reservations and the place was almost empty, we were standing on someone who recognized us five minutes. we waited for our food. the nachos were noble, but a miss, they were soggy. the mcnab burger was the size of a slide. it was dry and not delicious. the chips were very good. we had to ask twice for dessert. then we waited for the bill and we waited. a simple meal lasted two full hours and the restaurant was not full. not even close. I collect them, the more to the columba hotel than from street customers. unfortunately the view of the castle was not good and the flow side was not good.

One of the worst experiences I've ever had. after two hours we followed the food after it was delivered to a wrong table. we asked about the bill three times because we had not eaten and we were tired to wait. at the end he spoke to the manager, but he was very rude and quarreling, lifted his voice and checked every single starter we had against the bill. looks like they are extremely overbooked and underoccupied. No matter, there is no excuse for the rude service.

Great food and good service although on our last visit the staff were a bit overwhelmed. Kept us informed though and very apologetic. Would 100% recommend the haggis balls starter!
