They could maybe do with a few more staff members. We got the tomato bisque, baked camembert, fish with prawns and the chicken (I can't remember the specific names), cheese board and the brownie sunday. Everything was very delicious, I think they just need to work on their method for running the front end.
Really shocking experience and I would certainly avoid this place at all costs. It’s not busy and there is an obvious disregard for customers. I feel sorry for the staff who work here as well as the adjoining hotel who have to deal with the fallout with this. We stayed in the Loch Ness Lodge Hotel next door for 2 nights each night we ended up having drinks in the Pibroch. Most of the drinks were on a tab from a relative it wasn’t until I had a quiet drink a lone that I realized that this place is nothing short of a scam. Glass of house wine £9.65!?!? Crazy. Now it figures why this place was always completely empty. I challenged the bar man as well as the receptionist at the hotel who sympathized but obviously this wasn’t their policy. Stay away drinks wine are half price at all the places nearby!
Run away if you want to spend a friendly evening. The restaurant had 7 guests but we had to wait 30 minutes to sit at the table. We were a family of 6 but could not eat all together. We had to sit at two separate tables. After eating our dish we ask for the dessert menu but the boss refuses because it was too late (8.30PM) and must close the restaurant. Too bad because our dishes were good...
Amazing restaurant and pub. The food is superb (my friend and I had the venison roast and it qas the best we've ever had), the fire is cozy and the couches are the type you can just fall right into. Great place!
First things first: the food was great. However, the food and drinks felt overpriced and the service was abysmal. The man behind the bar, I suspect the owner, was incapable of handling a crowd of 25 people. He also seemed to be blaming his staff of two, even though he himself was clearly not contributing whatsoever. If you're with a group of larger than 1, you'd do yourself a service by going somewhere else.
