I am giving 2 stars for this particular visit. My husband and I arrived at around 8:20pm on March 23, 2024. This location, Ionia, MI, closes at 9pm on Saturday. We we’re told at the dive thru that they were all out of chicken and it was going to be 45min to an hour before they had more chicken prepared. Why would it take so long?? They would have been closed before our order was ready. I may be wrong, but, as a customer, this sounded off to me and it felt as though they just did not want to serve any more customers. It seems to me that, in order to be a profitable business, you would want to keep food prepared for customers until closing.
I 'm not impressed. When we walked in, we were greeted promptly and told someone would be with us shortly. That was a lie. They continued whatever they were doing and ignored us for several minutes. When finally allowed, I ordered a 2-piece leg and thigh meal. Let me tell you, they got the leg from the chicks at TSC. There is no way that leg held up a chicken. It was the tiniest baby leg I 've ever seen. In the attached pictures, you can see it before I touched it and after I took the breading off but had not touched the meat. The thigh was white meat. It was dry. The gravy had congealed clots in it. None of the food was hot. Other than the fountain pop, it was a total disappointment.Parking: More parking available than will ever be neededKid-friendliness: Perfect for kidsWheelchair accessibility: Appears to be wheelchair accessible
The wife and I are empty nesters so cooking for two has been a challenge without a lot of leftovers. The 20$ fill up box and large coleslaw has been our new go too it's perfect for the two of us!!! I miss the potato wedges but the fries are super tasty!!!
