The staff is kind and thoughtful. It 's so close to waking up on Christmas morning to a delicious homemade meal that it 's kind of scary. Back to the atmosphere. The decor was literally stolen from my grandmothers house. These salt shakers even have, 'grandma ', in sharpie on the bottom. It 's creepy.
My family is from Southern California, and we recently visited the University of Iowa for my daughter's graduation. Four years ago, during her freshman year, we stumbled upon this restaurant and fell in love with it. Every year when we visited our daughter, we made it a point to dine at this charming establishment with its warm service and delicious food. On this Mother's Day, after my daughter's graduation, we made one last stop for breakfast before heading back to California. Despite the restaurant being extremely busy, the owner personally took our name and ensured we were next in line. The waitress, although busy, treated us with care and kindness. The food was as delicious as always, but it was the little details that truly set this restaurant apart and earned it a five-star rating from us. Thank you for the wonderful memories, we will truly miss you!
The Eggs Benedict were delicious! The ham slices were nice and thick, and the potatoes were also thickly sliced. Although slightly more expensive than your typical breakfast, it was definitely worth it. The coffee was fantastic and the service was excellent.
We loved the food, but the service was outstanding. Friendly and laid back, unpretentious place with excellent food
Leaf Kitchen is responsible for serving the best meals I have ever had. The staff is sweet and personable, the environment is inviting, and the food is absolutely spectacular.
