Therefore, it seems only logical that this philosophy lead me to the doorstep of my first encounter with the famed “Shrimp and Grits” experience. While we have greatly enjoyed meals at “First Watch” when visiting Colorado, we certainly didn’t expect to find another location here in Columbus (nor could we have predicted that this is where my introduction to shrimp and grits would take place).Admittedly my ignorance of “the grit” fostered some anxiety within me, but I bravely soldiered on beneath the banner of adventure. (In truth that “bravery” had its limits and I did an internet search for images while at the table just to prepare myself for what might emerge on my plate after it departed the kitchen.)As it turns out my fears of the unknown were unwarranted. I sheepishly sampled the grits first. ? Then the shrimp. ? And then a bite of both together. ?? Wow, that combo of flavors was really impressive y’all! Now my only fear moving forward is that when I order this again after leaving the South I may be greatly disappointed. While nothing during this meal could upstage my entree, I have to admit that the “Holey Donuts” (with accompanying chocolate and berry sauce) were also delish. ?And that’s…Henry’s Take.#shrimpandgrits#southernliving
Great breakfast, totally recommend the chickichanga! Our server was wonderful.
Raising prices from four dollars to six dollars on chicken sausage is crazy lol.
Thinking this is my new favorite place to eat. I’m probably not the best person to review, I’m extremely bias towards the French toast. It’s freaking awesome, always get extra powered sugar and add some syrup and it like being a kid again at grandmas house. Not a fan of the fancy bacon on the appetizer menu. But hey, the French toast is awesome. They have lots of other things to but the French toast is better. Just saying.
I am very disappointed and I won’t be ordering door dash with y'all anymore. Every time I order which is once a week, it’s always something missing with the meal or it’s burnt. I don’t care about DoorDash credits when I’m at work I can’t leave for nothing so I expect everything to be in the bag that comes with the meal. Sitting in the place is different from delivery the food is amazing BUT the service gathering the Togo orders and making sure everything is inside is disappointing. Y’all need to get it together. Now I’m at work with missing items to eat my breakfast AGAIN!
