For our appetizer, we both had different types of sushi; so delicious! We both ended up trying the DFFC and it was heavenly!!! Super yummy, very spicy! Inside of the restaurant was aesthetically pleasing, albeit a little cramped and many of the servers didn’t seem like they had much experience in customer service, which is the only thing keeping me from giving Slurping Turtle a full five stars.Parking: It’s located in Easton Town Center, so of course it will be slightly challenging to find parking!
It is a cute place but the service is awful sadly. This location is big with plenty of seating, but they need more staff for the wait times not to be so long and to go orders to be right. The food was good (could've had more flavor but it's american style and not authentic so that's to be expected) but no where near worth the wait. While I was waiting I overheard a couple come in get their pick up order. The couple checked their order before they left and saw that it wasn't correct. There was some back and forth between the couple and staff on what they wanted, verse what they got. They were able to give the couple a free soup, however after the couple left the staff started to talk about them badly, even going as far as saying that the couple was probably high and that's why they didn't know what they ordered or was supposed to get. That is terrible customer service and just not in good character. If the food was amazing it would make up for the service but average food and bad service make for a bad experience. Try other restaurants at Easton instead.Dietary restrictions: They offer vegetarian optionsKid-friendliness: YesWheelchair accessibility: Yes
I went here for the first time yesterday, and our server never greeted us. We waited for awhile, but ultimately decided to leave. As we were leaving, we noticed the serving staff just crowded around the p.o.s. chit-chatting.
This was my boyfriend and my third time coming to Slurping Turtle. The first two times were very busy and had at least an hour long wait, so we left both those times and chose somewhere else to eat. Yesterday (Friday, 02/02/24), we went at 3:30PM and the restaurant was mainly empty. We were seated and the couple at a table next to us had just finished and left. Their server cleaned up their table and we assumed she’d be our server also. Nobody else was in the area we were in. My boyfriend and I sat for 20 minutes waiting for somebody to greet us and get us our drinks at least. My boyfriend counted thirteen staff members, in two different clumps, just talking to each other and eating as well. Nobody paid any attention to us. Then, a family came in and were seated and immediately given silverware (we were never given any) and served by a server. That is when we decided to leave. We were finally given attention when we walked out, by a staff member telling us to have a nice day. This was our third attempt at eating at Slurping Turtle and we will not be returning for any more attempts. Third time was not the charm.
One of my favorite spots — I almost always get the DFFC ramen, but the Red Dragon Roll is my go to when I’m feeling sushi. The staff is friendly and they play good music as well.
