Athali Cretan Cuisine - Irakleion

I came yesterday in this beautiful restaurant with my friend during our holiday in kreta. the place was really beautiful and beautiful. we take two traditional dishes as appetizers: a roasted cheese and a black sausage really good. as main dishes we take a lamb hamburger, whose flesh was really delicious, and a moussaka that I really found amazing. the waitress helped us choose the dishes. I think the price was absolutely right for what we had eaten. I really suggest this place if you want to eat good and delicious.

Great place for traditional food at a very reasonable price. The food was cooked well and was flavorful, and the service was very friendly and attentive.

The place itself is really nice. The decorations are charming and the waitresses are very friendly. The restaurant specializes in lamb meat, you can even see how it is getting roasted makes your hunger go insane! The food all in all was okay though. The lamb tasted very good and the dessert was delicious, but the lamb pie and the other starter (I forgot the name, it was like a baked pillow filled with green, see photo) were very dry. Maybe you should order some extra zaziki. The fries were not the slightest crispy.

Weird place. On one hand, one of the best dishes we had in Crete, on the other, the worst. Both lamb. The one in the pot was delicious and just melted in your mouth, the dry.looking one was just that. It was chewy and fiddly. Nice starters and dessert, though I'll never get to liking Raki, no matter what way they serve it. Still recommend, just don't get the dry meat...
