Feedback gevenChen Garden has delicious food. But the lady owner who answers the phone and often cooks and takes the money is one of the most unpleasant people I have ever encountered. And I don’t want to give my money to someone that treats me like trash for coming into her establishment. I’m moving on to another place for my Chinese food fix.
The food is good! The wings and lo mein remind me of NYC. I have never had a bad interaction with the owner. Maybe because I am from NY, but I do not expect anything from her but a greeting, take my order, and let me know how much my bill is. This is one of my go-to Chinese restaurants.
If you can get past the loud rude cashier, you'll be fine. Don't expect a quiet place to eat either. Lots of yelling and random loud videos playing at register. Very boring eating area with no ambiance. Food was okay.
I actually like the food fine and it’s close by. But the cashier is unbelievably, almost SNL skit comically kind of rude. I can get over that but what I can’t get over is that they have overcharged me what the order confirmation said the last two orders. The first I added a 10% tip online, which they turned into $10. This last one the credit card charge showed only a couple dollars over what the order confirmation showed but it feels like a scam now. Still a chance they made two mistakes but not a chance I’m taking again. Hopefully this area will get more options!
The price they charged me is not the price on the paper menu. It's false advertisement if they do not update their menu to reflect the real price.
