This bakery inside Mitsuwa is absolutely fantastic! I can’t get enough of their breads! They offer both thick and thin Japanese white bread, and now they even sell half-sized loaves if you don’t want to commit to a whole one. While it’s a bit pricey, the quality is definitely worth it. I also enjoy their darker brown swirl loaves, though I can't recall the specific name—those are a bit more expensive, too. Their chocolate cream puffs are simply delicious! Most of their pastries are tasty, but I especially love their Japanese breads! So delicious!

Always a great experience! I've never had a bad meal here. I particularly enjoy the iced milk tea, houjicha latte, and the mixed vanilla and green matcha ice cream. The sandwiches are delicious, and all the pastries are excellent as well.

This fantastic bakery is situated inside Mitsuwa Marketplace in Irvine. While it's smaller than other Hamada-Ya locations, the quality of their baked goods remains outstanding. They offer convenient to-go packages of bread for sandwiches, along with delicious soft serve ice cream. If you arrive early enough, be sure to grab their curry pan—it’s one of our favorite items! This savory donut filled with warm curry is a must-try. Although this bakery has a limited selection compared to larger locations, they carry all the popular items. In addition to the curry pan, we tried an almond Danish and a chocolate donut. My kids devoured the donuts and said they were incredibly rich in chocolate flavor. This is a great stop for high-quality baked goods on the go. Next time, I'll definitely have to sample the soft serve that everyone keeps raving about!
