Great pizza. I'm from New York and it's really crispy, fresh and delicious. My new one. Thank you.
First visit to this place. I had her special consisting of 2 slices of cheese or Pepperoni pizza (I chose Pepperoni) and a drink of your choice (I chose a can Sprite). The pizza was NOT delicious. I don't recommend this place. The sum of taxes was just under $10.
Update: About five months ago ordered pizza from there, as I did for nine years, and unfortunately it was AWFUL. They asked them to let them know my disappointment, was said that new person would now make the pizza there. It was just terrible to eat cardboard, no taste at all and hardly any toppings. No more. At a time it was my favorite pizza in OC. Johnnys Pizza in Quail Plaza, Irvine Location is the best pizza we ever had in California! We're from NY and that's all the other pizzerias. You never make a perfect pizza. We've all tried them and nobody can get Johnny on Quail Plaza. Five stars on the way!
You?re reading this because you?re asking yourself exactly how New York is Johnny?s Real New York Pizza. Truthfully, it?s pizza. How can you possibly mess that up? It?s got quite an extensive menu but I came here to try a couple slices out so I ordered one pepperoni and one pepperoni with mushrooms added on. Each slice was $3.75 plus the extra $1 charge for the mushrooms. Like others have stated, I was a bit disappointed that they just had pizzas laying out under a heat lamp instead of putting it back in the oven for it to be nice and crispy again. However, since I did order one of them with mushrooms they put that in the oven to heat up and it came out perfectly. I consider a good NY slice to be big, toasty, foldable, and cheesy. These slices definitely hit the mark so I?m giving them a good rating simply because of that. Is it cheaper than most other locations? No, but you?re supporting a local business and not a commercial chain. I think it?s actually family owned and truthfully if they just reheated the pizzas they?d probably get better ratings. The pizza is promising and worth giving a first chance!
