Little Sister - Irvine

The service and server were great but the food is lacking everything was super greasy. My pork chop was more than 50% fat pork chop is leaner cut and I shouldn't bite into uncensored fat just a complete turn off. The thai rolls would break apart so not rolled properly and the pork belly was very gelatinous. I have eaten here many times and this time I was disappointed with just the food

I originally visit the Little Sister in LA and it was so good! I came to the Irvine location and order 2/3 same dishes because they were soooo good! Sad to say that the garlic noodles came out dry and colder than room temperature. When I we finally got the sticky rice which was last, it was not as moist as the first one I tried in LA. Half of it had sauce and the other half were dry. The place was beautiful and the service was nice so no complaints there but the food was definitely not what I expected. Guess I'll stick to LA.

We visited Little Sister restaurant in Irvine Spectrum on a Wednesday night as my wife had purchased 2 $50 gift cards at the local Costco and we wanted to give the place a try. It is a fairly large restaurant with both inside and outdoor seating right across the apple store and the environment is very inviting. Inside there is a bar and open kitchen concept in the missle of the restaurant which has extra high cielings and appealing furnishings. Our server told us that most people order family style and suggested a few items off of each section of the menu. We started with the shrimp and pork spring rolls which were very yummy and came with a delicious peanut sauce and was presnted nicely with some loose peanuts and vegetables. We had their brisket Pho, and we were very disappointed given our Pho arrived with 4 small bowls but no spoons and had to wait a good 10 minutes after asking our server for the spoons to get them, by that time as you might imagine the Pho was tepid. The sprouts and basil and cilantro that came with our Pho seemed old and we asked for fresh ones which they accomodated, but overall the Pho is not something that you want to visit this restaurant for. Many many better options in OC. The Shaken Beef dish was really yummy and likely the only thing that made me give this place a three star. The beef was super tender and marinated well and the whole dish was put together very nicely. We also had their crispy chicken dish which was served with a nice cole slaw, and a bowl of white rice which was decent and super crispy and a Ban Mi sandwhich which was good but nothing to write home about. Service was very slow, and the servers who were bringing out our dishes didnt seem very happy or take pride in presenting the food for us, which for me was a downer. Out bill came to around $150 (5 items and a beer) and we gave the server the two gift cards, only to see that she gave us a bill for the remainder of the charge, however we caught the fact tha

My fiancé and I had reservation on 1/3 at 6:30 pm. We were seated pretty quick so that was nice. We ordered our drinks and it came somewhat on a fair time. My fiancé got hers after a few minutes but mine didn't come until 10 min after hers. We ordered two dishes: a beef dish and the salmon. My beef dish came after 20 minutes and we decided to give it 5 minutes for hers to come out before we eat but it didn't come. We started eating and still the dish didn't come out. We ended finishing our drinks and were waiting to be checked up on for a water refill and the dish but nobody came. After 30 minutes, we ended up needing to flag our waitress and asked if the her dish can checked on and for more water. It ended up that the kitchen forgot about the order, which would've been fine, if we found out early on instead of having to wait for 45 minutes for the food at that point. The beef dish was good don't get me wrong but it was the service that brought the experience down.

Overpriced and service was very subpar. server only recommended the most expensive options, food order came out late and wrong, very little check-ins, and overall felt overpriced for what you're getting. very instagram worthy ambiance though.
