Hudson House - Irving

I'm thrilled that this location is now open, making it so much easier to visit one of my favorite spots. The new restaurant is spacious and comfortable, much larger than their other locations. The staff were incredibly helpful and attentive. And, of course, the food was delicious. I always enjoy some fresh oysters, and the rotating selection allows for a nice variety to try something new. I then moved on to the lobster roll, which is definitely a must-try. To finish off the meal, I had the chocolate silk pie—absolutely love that crust! I can't wait to return soon.

Overall, it was an enjoyable dining experience. The dishes I tried were well-prepared and of high quality. The cocktails were definitely the highlight for me—both delicious and creatively crafted. It was somewhat on the pricey side, but that's to be expected given the quality of the food. I found the burger a bit underwhelming, but in hindsight, I probably should have opted for a seafood dish instead.

The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere, and the staff is excellent. However, the food doesn’t quite live up to its price. I found it lacking in flavor. The term "underwhelming" has come up in several reviews, and I have to concur. The only dish I photographed was the Mac n Cheese, which resembled and tasted more like lasagna.
