There is a lot of blame to share for the demise of the Keg. Advertising might have helped and an aggressive campaign to increase awareness. The location is discreetly sandwiched between several seemingly popular restaurants. Bringing lunch back after the pandemic might have helped to get over the hump.
Another awesome experience at The Keg! NYE was managed perfectly and seemed very smooth. The food was amazing and the wine selection was good. The service was great, as always. Already looking forward to our next visit
The Keg has always been my favourite place for a consistently good quality steak that doesn't break the bank. Unfortunately, they advised us they'll be closing the doors at that location on Jan 01, 2023. They will be sorely missed they're the only restaurant in the DFW area that knows how to properly prepare lobster (I'm ex pat Canadian Air Force who spent a good part of my career in the Maritimes where they know a thing or two about seafood). We decided to go all out and have two appetizers the always reliable shrimp cocktail and the superb bacon wrapped scallops. My steak and lobster was perfect; my wife's baseball sirloin was excellent. We ended the evening with the incomparable Billy Miner Pie and a couple of Monte Cristo coffees. It's been a week and we're finally finishing the leftovers by design...
Almost an hour to get bread and salads. Then our server says there is no more teriyaki steak. What do you want instead? We paid for the salads and left! And it was my birthday celebration. Not good at all
The food was good, service was OK-would have appreciated more time between appetizer and salad course. Would have ordered wine with dinner, had there been less of a rush with salads and entrees.
