Chesapeake - Irvington

I recently had the best meal I've enjoyed in a long time from start to finish. The portions were just right for the price. The ambiance felt very much like a country club, and the view from the patio was fantastic. Overall, I would rate the food a perfect 5, the service a 5, and the atmosphere also a 5.

Outstanding service at this restaurant, deserving of a full 5 stars. The food was nearly perfect, offering 98% value for its price. However, I did encounter a cold potato croquette in the center, which is likely an anomaly for this establishment. Overall, I would rate the food a 4, service a 5, and the atmosphere a 5.

What a fantastic spot for lunch with a great view! I really enjoyed my meal—opted for the chicken sandwich while my husband had the oyster po'boy, which looked absolutely appetizing! The weather was perfect, with low humidity, and since we had a later lunch, the restaurant wasn't crowded at all. I was impressed by the service; we were warmly welcomed upon arrival, and our servers struck the right balance—attentive without being intrusive. We've had our share of both excellent and not-so-great experiences here in the past, but after today's visit, we are definitely planning to return!

Please call before you drive almost an hour to visit like I did. Upon my arrival, I was informed that the restaurant is closed from 2pm to 5pm, but I'm not sure if it is an everyday thing. However, it was not stated by Google. The atmosphere around it is super calm and peaceful, the place looks well care for, and the view is breathing. I ate at the Fish Hawk Oyster Bar instead (By the pool) of the hotel. I wouldn't drive 40-50 mts to eat there, but we had no choice once already there. Maybe in my next visit I get to enjoy the restaurant's cuisine.

The food was outstanding, and the staff were very professional! I highly recommend this place and will definitely return soon.
