Accommodation may not be the best all depends on your spending capacity. You can spend little and experience the most or spend a lot and experience little. A must visit if you are in Panama or surrounding area.
I'm very torn about this review. I really wanted to love it here, but it just fell short. We stayed on the southern tip of Isla Solartes and although it was okay every trip to do anything was $50 USD rt, and there is nothing available on Solartes not available on any other island with more accessibility to beaches, restaurants, shops and groceries. The amount of mosquitoes and sand fleas left me looking like I had a case of chicken pox! This island is not fumigated like the larger ones. Also they are not on the power grid, so the Airbnb we were at had inadequate power for our stay, monitoring our use of the two small fans and doing laundry for straining their solar/generator. We ended up packing up and moving to Bocas Town. We enjoyed that so much more. The water is very clear and makes for fantastic snorkeling and there are beaches on this island! We wanted a more quiet night and opted to stay away from the center of town and that was a good choice giving us a bike ride to all the restaurants, bars and shops but none of the noise.
Beautiful and fun. Beautiful beaches and lots of partying
Starfish Beach Fairly clean water and lots of starfish (please leave them in the water otherwise they will die). There are a lot of bars, restaurants and shops along the beach! The food is very cheap and delicious! You can spend even 1 day here! The rubbish jungle adjacent to the beach is negative That's why only 4 stars
Very nice but you have to choose the date of visit carefully, preferably between August and September. The weather on those dates is perfect.
