Ice Bar - Isla Mujeres

We had a great time driving our golf cart to this location. It was a little hard to find but once we found it and navigated our way into a parking spot which are not obvious just outside as golf carts and cars sort of park everywhere. Then we walked in, it was confusing because there was an area to pay for entry, but we didn’t have to pay to go to the restaurant. Again we walked by vendors and when we got to the restaurant it was a confusing a gain because they try and sell you a Buffet when you walk in. At this point we wondered if there was in fact an actual ice bar there, and it was not obvious. Then we were finally shown where it was, a roped off door and that we had to pay a fee to go into it, we declined. This fee was also was not explain to us prior. Walk past the Buffay, and there is a sweet little beach and chairs and tables with weight stuff service prices were medium range and drinks were good. Food was 3.5 star good. No one got sick and the service was awesome. Our waiter. Santiago was very accommodating. I would go back on another trip.

100% do NOT recommend. Lame. Basically a tourist trap. Included with the pricey admission to the ice bar is 2 drinks and 1 shot. Drinks and shot were basically juice. The “bartender” inside the bar will inform you multiple times of the small plastic box for tips. We thought this would be a bar with other people at the bar. There was no one else and we spent probably 10 minutes total inside. One of the dumbest places I have been yet.

After booking a tour to Isla Mujeres we were taken to this terrible place as part of the package. Food was disgusting with a limited 5 or 6 choices. Nothing looked like it was supposed to and tested even worse!!! The place was dirty with bird poop on the tables which was later picked up with a napkin but the tables not wiped clean. The plastic glasses were only dipped in water and were dirty and stinky. The tables and chairs were wet. On the side right by the bar there was a sink and exposed pipes which stunk and looked like restroom water was being drained there. We had to be there yo meet up with the catamaran group and not by choice. Avoid this place!

Great place to cool down on a hot day. Beach is very nice with good service from the wait staff. We didn’t eat any food so I can’t comment on the quality.

The only reason we stopped here is because it was part of the catamaran tour that we paid for. Lunch was not good. We stuck to what we know rice and beans. The staff and service was a five though!
