Gran Paradiso - ISLAND PARK

As usual this is an outstanding place to eat. Your greeted with sincere love and right away your glad your there. The servers are unbelievably friendly even if it’s not you waiter they constantly come over to see if there is anything you need and the food is heavenly. I can’t think of a better restaurant than there. Italian food , seafood, last night for my birthday I had the best steak I’ve ever had , a 2 inch thick rib steak grilled to perfection didn’t even need a knife to cut it. Even the sides of garlic mash potatoes and creamed spinach were elevated to perfection. The Caesar salad is to die for the mussels were again the best I’d ever had and I’ve had them in many restaurants but they can’t compare. The wine list is outstanding and the desserts finish your meal with smile of total joy. I can’t wait for the next time we go there. Island Park has a true gem . You will not be disappointed.

Every time my wife and I come here the food and service is amazing.there specials are always over the top. If you haven't tried this place put it on the top of your list.

This new addition to Island Park was much needed. I've started to routinely make the trip to Island Park from Manhattan, and here I'll try to provide a glimpse of why. Gran Paradiso is an elegant Italian restaurant oiled by the most fantastic waiting staff I have ever been served by. Moreover, the owner/host, Bernardo, did the job of making me feel like family upon arrival. On top of that, he knows how to run a restaurant as well as/better than anyone else. Regarding the food it was unbelievable! My chicken parmesan was prepared beautifully and did not disappoint. I have no doubt each and every dish at this restaurant will surface as a local favorite. If you live in Island Park, I encourage you to make Gran Paradiso part of your regular routine. If you live farther, I encourage you to give Gran Paradiso a chance without hesitation. I'm confident that one visit will make you a regular no matter how far from Island Park you live.

Gran Paradiso is by far the best restaurant around for Italian food! The food is totally delicious and nice sized portions. The manager and waiters are the best!!!!

It's been 3.5 years since this place opened. Bernardo is one for the record at running this place. His warm welcomes and treating everyone like family with a hug and kiss. This man always checks on the service as he does every table there and finishing the night with goodbyes. He has a wonderful staff that he trained well and all help each other out as a team should. Never have had a bad experience or food here.. I tip my hat and will always come back when I can and recommend this place to family friends and loved ones. Cheers to another 3.5 years wish y'all would expand with a nice party room. Definitely needed here as I spoke to Bernardo in the past .wish y'all took over next door ..thank you as always..
