There was live music when we were there. The atmosphere is incredible. Super friendly locals were happy to chat when we wanted or happy to let us talk to us. Overall, an incredible place, I wish I could transplant it near my own house in Texas.
Live music every Sunday. Beer and wine. Great music a lot. It was cool to chat with locals.
The most beautiful people here! We turned around on our hiking maps and were lost, exhausted and it was dark. We asked the bartender if someone we could pay to bring us to our truck and trailer, and he was so fast to find a nice older gentleman to help us! They were our guardian angel and we just wanted to thank them again! It's nice to know that there are still some good people in this crazy world! XOXO
No food on the menu and it is quite far from the beaten path, BUT, if you are in the area, this place is 1000% a stop to enjoy some drinks and hang with the locals. Everyone is so friendly and we had a great time to meet everyone. Thank you for creating such a fun and welcoming environment!
I was one of the bars most frequent daily customers. I would take a daily 3 mile walk down from Yale Creek to visit with the most delightful lady behind the counter, and fork over my silver for the most delicious treat known to all western young men. The 5 cent hard licorice stick! They were so hard, 1 stick would last me the whole long walk back to my Grandparents Kesler 's cabin on Yale Creek and then some! Some days I would splurge and rack up a set of billiards on the table. I always wondered why the Shotgun Store had a pool table in it, and very few groceries. Oh well, those are the best memories of my younger life in the early 1970 's.
