Glan Menai Chip Shop - Isle of Anglesey

We enjoyed a delicious meal of freshly cooked fish at this restaurant. The two elderly ladies working behind the counter provided us with fantastic service. While the wait was a bit long, it was definitely worth it.

I was really excited for our fish Friday dinner, but it turned out to be a huge disappointment. The fish batter was extremely hard and greasy, and the fish inside was overcooked and dry. It was clear that it had been sitting in the warmer for too long. I suggest avoiding this place at all costs.

The portion sizes and quality were great, but the wait was extremely long. Despite only 2 people in front of us on a quiet Sunday night, nothing was prepared in advance. We ordered one sausage, one cod, and a portion of chips, but waited for a whopping 30 minutes. With a bit of initiative, the wait could have been halved. The food was nice, but the curry sauce was questionable with lumps and unknown pieces. It's best to avoid this place if you're short on time, and note that they only accept cash.

The chippy is pretty good, almost as good as the one in betws y coed. The fish was a bit soggy and service can be slow but other than that it was nice

Food was really tasty and all made fresh. Lovely and welcoming staff. Cash only but for the quality of the food that was ok by me.
