When I asked for a refund, the staff member was unwilling to give back more than 70p. I refuse to patronize this establishment again on principle, and I would not recommend it to anyone else. Zero stars!
I was staying in Shanklin and needed a decent priced coffee seeing as the holiday park charges nearly £4 for something that tastes like dishwater. I decided to pop into Graces as the queue always seems to be out the door which I take as a good sign. Despite being busy I was served quickly and the coffee was lovely. I paid £3.50 for a decent coffee and a biscuit. Service was friendly. Will definitely come back during my next island visit.
Friendly staff, good range of baked goods… Belgian buns are huge and full of fruit! Using up characters to get to 100 now…
Be prepared for rude and disrespectful service at this restaurant. Unfortunately, it seems to be a widespread issue rather than just one staff member. We experienced unfriendly behavior, including a staff member making a rude gesture to a child through a window. This kind of behavior is unacceptable and definitely tarnishes the reputation of the otherwise friendly community in Shanklin. Additionally, don't be fooled by rainbow bunting during pride week - true LGBTQ+ friendliness is more than just decoration.
Very nice bakery. Huge rage of cakes, sweet buns and doughnuts to choose from. Reasonably priced. We came back on the same day to buy one more of the Isle of Wight traditional doughnut.
