Rusty Taco (brown St. - Isleta Pueblo

This is a fun place. There?s lots of outdoor seating and lots of indoor seating. They offer various salsas (which you must ask for to receive). Prior to Covid, they had a salsa bar. They have breakfast tacos, brisket tacos, fish tacos, shrimp tacos, you name it! They also offer beer and other mixed drinks (margaritas). Tacos are reasonably priced too! ???? ???? ????

We got some Carne asada tacos and brisket. The Carne asada were made with big chunks of meat and potatoes and a little chili. The brisket were okay but seemed a bit dry and burnt tasting. Not flavorful is why I give 1 star and the place was definitely not clean. About half of the table's were dirty and not wiped down. The taco tray was also dirty.

Great interior design, perfect location, and fabulous fillings! I was only a little disappointed that they don?t make their own corn tortillas. They?re clearly out of a package, and they kind of fall apart when you?re eating them. Homemade tortillas are so much tastier, and also more resilient for holding the filling. maybe they would consider developing in that direction?. Also note that they have a bar here! That?s super nice for after evening meals.

As a non gluten eater,, I really like this place. Lots of options for me to choose from. I got a brisket taco and a rusty taco. Both were very good. Little heavy on the onion but I didn 't ask for it otherwise so... my gluten eating husband liked the fried chicken taco so much he got 3! He also tells me that the churro is fantastic. Very friendly staff and clean environment. Good location too. The food, is not so great. Unfortunately I didn 't like the tacos. I know this is fast food but it tasted too much like fast food if that makes sense . I order 2 chicken tacos, 1 brisket taco, and 1 carne asada. Not my favorite flavors. The patio drinks look like a good idea but I haven 't tried them. If I come back, it would only be to try the drinks and enjoy some chips and queso.
