The Ladies toilet was awful (to say the least) and the great outside space was really tired BUT, they recently added extra ladies toilets and did an amazing garden makeover. It is now our pub of choice, especially over the amazing summer we have had as we have never found it difficult to find a table in the garden.
Just plain rude. Would not listen to what we were trying to explained to them. Simply listening to the customer would have helped.
We were turned down from entering the pub as we had a new born baby, stating the ban on the under 21 rule. Pregnancy and maternity leave are protected characteristics, the Bank of Friendship violated our rights and the Equality Act 2010. When questioned on this “rule” we were informed the owner doesn’t like dogs or children. We had a three week old baby. It was discriminatory to turn us away based upon this.
Guy behind the bar was alright, but the guy who I believe was the owner was rude and dismissive. The interior, chairs, tables, decor is the same as it was 30 years ago. I guess shabby chic is cheap? I Won’t be visiting again, because they don’t allow dogs, Next will be no Irish (it’s an ex Irish pub)
Told by some bar staff it was fine to bring my dog in, to then be told I can’t after I ordered a beer. Cheers
