Cafe Med St Johns Street - Islington

We stopped by on our way home for a quick snack and drink, and we were not disappointed. The food came out quickly and was delicious. The customer service was excellent, and sitting outside in the sun was wonderful.

I am not sure where Café Med is located, but at the address 370 St John Street EC1V 4NN, you will find TheGate vegetarian restaurant, which has been operating for several years.

I decided to visit this restaurant on a whim and it turned out to be a pleasant experience. The staff were friendly and the menu had a good variety of reasonably priced options. I tried the fish cakes and they were delicious, and the salad was also very good. The portion size was decent overall, but the dessert was a bit disappointing as it only had three small apricots for the price. They were tasty, though! I ended the meal with a delicious Turkish coffee. I would consider coming back to this restaurant if I am in the area again.

Food is very good. Service is helpful. Really like the grilled salmon which comes with potatoes and beans. Also the Caesar salad and the hallomi cheese as an appetiser.

Good: good service, nice atmosphere, good food, what's not to like?
