Thyme At Premier Inn - Islington

Stayed at the Premier Inn with the dining plan. Terrible quality food at dinner, just awful! Friendly staff and the breakfast buffet wasn't bad at all, but the whole place is absolutely let down by the dinners there. Yuk.

The food was delicious and affordably priced. The garlic flatbread starter was a generous portion, almost like a whole garlic pizza! The children's meals had a good variety and were tasty. Our server, Daz, was very friendly and great with the kids, which really enhanced our dining experience. Thank you, Daz!

A pleasant and quite restaurant/bar, considering its location the food and drink is at a reasonable price and the staff were polite/friendly. The food wasn't amazing but for the price perfectly acceptable and it's open from 7:30 till 12am

I had the opportunity to dine at Thyme restaurant located at the Premier Inn in Kings Cross during my one-night stay. The food was delicious and the staff were friendly, however, the service was quite slow. Despite the restaurant being nearly empty, I waited an hour for my meal and was repeatedly told that it was on its way. Although the wait was frustrating, the food itself was excellent.

We were staying in the Premier Inn for four nights, so we gave a few visits to Thyme.The full buffet breakfast was excellent. It covered warm dishes (bacon, sausages, scrambled eggs/sunny side up, grilled tomatoes, butter fried mushroom), cold dishes (breakfast cereals, yogurt, fruits), different types of bread, pastry and muffins. Drinks included coffee, tea and fruit juices. All dishes were freshly made and refilled quite promptly. We had dinner on Friday night and the restaurant was quite busy. We ordered prawn cocktails, fried chicken wings and ribs for appetizers, a child beef burger, a baked salmon and a steak for the mains. The appetizers were not okay. But both the burger and the salmon were very dry and over-cooked. The steak was a bit chewy. The side salad was dull and dry. So we only had one night dinner here.Overall, the service was good, family friendly and breakfast was good. But not recommend it for dinner.
