The appetizers (3) they served and were wonderful, except for me I do not like salt cod so I didn't eat that one but cousin ate mine Then came two pasta dishes which were outstanding. Ravioli stuffed with borage also known a starflower mal tagliati with a rabbit sauce. Delicious. Then the choice of one of three main dished. My wife ordered loved the goat, I had the pork loin. Both delicious. Everyone had the panna cotta dessert, again great. Definitely worth eaing here. A local place with almost no tourists.
There were four of us and we found we could book weekends only so we settled for 8 pm on a Friday. The setting is very attractive with tables facing a lovely lawn surrounded by vines and flower bushes. We were offered a set menu with a choice of main course and puddings. For a start we were each served with three antipasti: a pumpkin purée in pastry, a courgette mouse with a parmesan sauce and a salt cod and mashed potato cake all delicious. This was followed by a pasta course of ravioli and tagliatelle generous portions. There was a choice of three mains: stochafisso (salt cod) with olives, potato and capers, pork with caramelised onions, and filleted rabbit with roast potatoes. Three of us chose the fish but were slightly disappointed to find it was similar to the salt cod starter. There was a choice of puddings including very good sorbet, an almond tart and a rather small hard apple tart. We drank two bottles of the first red wine on the list and found it excellent. A good value meal in a great setting.
