Cuma - Istanbul

Adorable restaurant with dicipus eating! we ordered several salads and the vegan curry and enjoyed a delicious, creative meal! recommend them cordially, especially if they are looking for something next to classic Turkish cuisine.

At first it is a beautiful space in the sweetest road ever. they have many vegetarian options and a few vegans. what they did was chosen to me a dish, then plentifully veganize it and it was the best meal I had in istanbul so far.

Reading the worst comments : “Mentioned” by Michelin’s guide means that the guide suggest it, doesn’t mean it has a star and actually is mentioned in the guide, if you search it you’ll find it. Anyway, I expected much more than what I found. Worst thing is the service that for me counts a lot. Everybody appear so detached. Food is 7/10, not the worst, not the best but above the average. Price a bit high compare to the whole experience. Not astronomic but not cheap. Anyway I posted the menu so you can judge by yourself. My opinion shortly: a nice place where you can eat well but an happier and more friendly personnel would justify the price. Ah, I was forgetting that we ask for a toast (meat, cheese and bread) and they said we had to wait 30 min. we change the order but the food because it seemed a bit too much but the food comes after 35 mins more less, anyway. You can do better guys!

This place is really great. Their outside space in the garden in is cosy. Food options are fantastic for breakfast. Drinks were good here too. They have very good ingredients and happy to customise for you if required. Would come back for sure.

Lovely terrace and the upstairs restaurant also looks really nice. One bathroom for all customers seems a bit challenging when the place is full. Service was ok, despite it not being busy on the terrace I felt a place mentioned in the Michelin guide could do better. Food was ok rather than outstanding, nice granola and fruits with yogurt and honey, the toast with avocado and poached eggs and prosciutto was ok, the avocado had the metallic taste that normally comes from them being overripe. Cappuccino did not have foam so was basically latte and last but not least: if a place sells mocktails made with fresh orange juice why can’t a customer have a fresh orange juice with breakfast?
