Souvlaki House - Ithaca

I’m not sure why people don’t share menus for this place, so I’ll do it. Feel free to delete this if it’s not allowed. You can check the menu to see the variety of options, which makes it feel like a truly authentic restaurant. The food is served in generous portions and is cooked to perfection. I highly recommend the lamb souvlaki. I’m looking forward to trying the pizza and desserts on my next visit!

I read the reviews before going and almost decided against it, but I'm glad I didn't! We ordered the Hummus, Souvlaki platter, and Gyro platter, and the portion sizes were quite generous. As mentioned by others, the gyro was a bit on the chewy side, but I actually enjoyed it. Some places make it overly salty, but I found it just right. With a bit of salt and pepper mixed into the Tzatziki sauce, it was absolutely delicious. The staff was very friendly and served us promptly, and the place was clean and well-maintained. I will definitely be returning!

Fantastic Greek food. I came to Cornell for a total of 4 business trips. Every time I got food from Souvlaki House, and every time it was absolutely fantastic. I lived right outside the Greek city in Baltimore for 5 years, and love Greek cuisine. They're doing it here. The Dolmades, the Souvlaki, the Gyro, the salad, the bread, everything is fantastic. Very recommended.

General servings delicious food! Aubergines, veal, ravioli and Spanakopita were beautifully prepared and hot pierced. Staff and owner-occupied hospitality filotimo.

Love this place. Friendly staff. Good portions. Excellent pricing. Poured me a beautiful glass of wine twice the amount I'd get at other restaurants. Really liked this place and the staff. Everyone seemed happy and joking in the backroom. Very family oriented place. I really liked it.
