The Riverbank Cafe - Ivybridge

I treated my mother and a few friends to lunch by the river for a birthday celebration. It was a beautiful day and enjoying delicious food by the river was truly delightful. The French owner was lovely, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We all started with the delicious soup and potato soup. For our main course, we all enjoyed the fish and chips with light and crispy batter and crunchy, flavorful chips. There was not a single bite left on our plates. For dessert, one of us had the medallion with fresh summer berries and Devonshire cream, which was fantastic. The French chocolate torte with ice cream was to die for, and I savored every bite of the amazing banana cake. We will definitely be returning.

The charming French owner, along with the helpful and pleasant staff, made our experience even more enjoyable. We all started with the leek and potato soup, which was delightful. For our main course, we all opted for the fish and chips, which had a light and crispy batter and crunchy thick-cut chips - needless to say, we cleaned our plates. For dessert, one of us had the meringue with fresh summer berries and Devonshire clotted cream - delicious! The French chocolate torte with ice cream was to die for, and the banoffe pie I had was truly amazing. We will definitely be returning to this restaurant.
