Best of all was the view to the water and watching fishermen throw their nets, surfing, volleyball, and people having fun. Great spot for families as the kids can play in the sand right next to your table. You could chill out for many hours there.
The view was amazing!!! but the amount of time it took us to get what food they brought was really slow..... not sure if they had to go to the store two towns over to get what they needed or not. the food was ehhh... okay... the service was good the guy was very nice.. they gave free shots of tequila. after dinner but all in all i think we waited for our food for at least 3 hours .. thank god the spot was gorgeous and the view was amazing . you cant any more beach front than that
Dona Martha was always the place where I would hang when visiting Playa Majahua. This year, I must say, we were disappointed. The food was nothing remarkable, the limonada was the worse I ever had, the shrimp were tough and didn't seem fresh. Not sure what's going on - - Dona Martha is obviously no longer in the kitchen.
This place is a bit north of Troncones, which is 20 miles north of Zihuatanejo. Dona Martha is so fun and sweet. You can pick your fish out of an ice chest, then it's grilled and served with everything needed to make fish tacos. It's right on the beach in a lovely bay. Fishing boats come in and go out.
We couldn't get all of our group to come for dinner, so several of us came for breakfast. The fruit plate was a huge plate of oranges, apples, pineapple, cucumber(?) or something similar that was unexpectedly good in the mix. The others had typical Mexican egg dishes and great fresh orange juice. One had hot cakes with caramel sauce. I asked if they had fish caught that morning (now was 9 am) they said yes so I had a whole fresh red snapper that was delicious. I am normally not a fish fan. One of our group so enjoyed the handmade tortillas that we got an order to go.
