Meson Los Canastos - Jabugo

I have been three times to this restaurant and all of them have been an absolute success. Their produce is fresh and local and this shows in the dishes which are incredibly tasty. My favorite choices have always been the dishes they cook with wild mushrooms, their ibérico ham which is amazing, their grilled cuts of iberian pork (pluma, presa and solomillo) and their desserts. Something that I'd like to highlight is the professional and super friendly service, which is always very much appreciated. If you are in the area, don't hesitate to have at least a meal in this place. You will definitely be able to appreciate what the regional food of the Jabugo area is about.

Together with our Dutch family we were eager to try out some of the typical Andalusian dishes, but we really had no idea what to choose! The owner of the restaurant suggested then to let us taste a bit of everything. The man walked back and forth serving us the most delicious dishes. We enjoyed our abundant lunch while sitting on the enchanting patio, situated behind the restaurant. This gastronomic indulgence, one of the highlights during our stay in the Sierra de Aracena, will never be forgotten!

I am a fairly regular customer because I simply love the food that Javi cooks. I don't order anything but leave myself in the hands of Javi, who always brings amazing dishes to our table. Last time I was there, Javi thought that it was time to offer me and my guests something new, so he gave a modern twist to the way he cooked his ingredients for us. We had an amazing iberian pork tartar, followed by a stunning iberian pork tataki and a delicious plate of grilled razor fish with wakame seaweed. I didn't know Javi could be so versatile and I was really impressed. 5 stars again to this amazing place with a super friendly host, that this time had a guest chef cooking for us as well (Paco) and who also was a lovely guy.

Cozy place with very good drop, food a show, service equal, totally recommended.
