Golden Wok - Jackson

The food is quite good, deserving of 4 stars. However, they could benefit from having a full bar. The service is satisfactory, and the ambiance is decent—nothing particularly remarkable, but the food makes it worth a visit!

I really enjoy their food, but I've encountered three occasions where I've made the 20-minute drive specifically to eat there, only to find them closed during regular business hours. Each time, there's been a sign on the door explaining the closure; this time, it stated they would be closed for two weeks. I'm not giving them a one-star review, but it's quite frustrating when a restaurant is often closed during its advertised hours. Service: Dine-in.

I was quite disappointed with my experience. The hot and sour soup lacked spice and was overly sweet. The Mongolian beef was dry and tough, and there wasn't much of it; it felt old. My lunch mainly consisted of rice and chow mein, which I wouldn't even call chow mein. The chow mein was greasy and missing bean sprouts, resembling more of spaghetti noodles with a hint of oily Chinese flavor. Overall, I was very let down. Perhaps other dishes on the menu are better than what I tried today. On a positive note, the service was excellent, and the restaurant had a pleasant atmosphere and was clean.

The only positive aspect of this restaurant is its ambiance. Unfortunately, the service was nonexistent—there was no greeting and barely any communication at all. The food felt like a blast from the past; the chow mein noodles were excessively thick, the barbecue pork was overcooked, and the chow fun tasted like it was days old. The hot and sour soup was overly sweet, made with sugar and molasses, and lacked any real heat or sourness. I didn’t want to write such a critical review, but this place truly deserves it. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience.

The food here is absolutely incredible, and the service is exceptional. Jenny consistently delivers, and every dish is cooked to perfection. I really love this place!
