Feedback gevenWe had a fantastic stay at the Hilton Garden. Upon our arrival, we were warmly welcomed by a very friendly valet who assisted us with our luggage. Matt, the valet, even took our bags to our room for us. The check-in process was smooth, and our room was both clean and comfortable. We enjoyed some delicious food and drinks at the bar, although the wait was a bit longer than I would have preferred. The hotel manager, Salmun, provided excellent service during both check-in and check-out. As we travel frequently from Florida to Louisiana, this hotel has now become our go-to stop.
This hotel exceeded our expectations. The room was spotless, quiet, and very secure. The service was excellent; the valet welcomed us and assisted with our luggage to the entrance, while the front desk manager guided us through the check-in process without any hassle. The breakfast area and lounge were delightful. Although the pool was small and had limited lounging space—typical for many downtown locations—the lively atmosphere due to numerous children led us to skip swimming this time.
The hotel was beautiful, and the friendly staff were incredible. However, I didn't receive housekeeping during my stay due to a staff shortage, so keep that in mind. I also want to mention the parking situation—it's worth considering before you arrive. On a positive note, the breakfast area was clean, and the food was hot and ready when I got there. Overall, just be prepared for the cleaning and parking details to avoid any surprises.
We arrived at night, the first lady we encountered was very nice, but she was leaving. We were told the valet would help with our luggage, however he sat out front with security watching us unpack our car, gather our own luggage rack and take our things in to the hotel. Security was nice enough to hold the door open for us while we pushed our luggage rack inside. After arriving to our room, there was a rancid smell, the bathroom floor felt like there was grease on it, and the room temperature did not get below 79. Being there in July, we definitely needed a little cooler room. Went downstairs to change rooms, and the second lady behind the counter never even made eye contact. Was not apologetic, never offered any incentives, or upgrades. I had to ask for an upgraded room, but was quickly told they were completely booked. However, we were given the room next to our original room-which was smaller-without hesitation. The second room never made it below 74, but at this point it was nearly 12am so we were too exhausted to go through that again. The following morning the staff was very nice, the valet was extremely attentive, and willing to help with whatever we needed. We did not have breakfast, but at 8am they had run out of coffee and cups. The staff quickly refilled the coffee and cups, so that was nice. However, we likely won’t stay there again. Until the staff and cleaning service are revamped, I would not recommend staying there. It is unfortunate because the hotel is old, unique, and has great potential.
Where to begin. Diamond member with Hilton. Got to hotel late, no water gift for being a Diamond member. I did get upgraded to 2 room suite. Got to room, curtains do not work; electric type. Both windows were covered so bedroom was dark, but light coming through in the morning and no way to adjust. Found plastic trash on the floor. The AC in the bedroom barely kept the room cool enough at night. The AC in the main room did not cool. I had to power cycle a few times and then on the second day it started working. Everything feels dated, dirty and old. I requested room service on the second day and was told no problem, got back later in the day and nothing. I went downstairs to at least get some more coffee and cups, they could not even find any cups! Handed me a coffee cup and that was it. The ladies at the front desk have all been nice for the most part, I believe they are trying but all the issues with the hotel are just unacceptable. Rather than the owner manager spending time responding to my post, just spend some time and money and get this place in shape.
