We had a delightful meal of appetizers and refreshments (two craft ales for me; and, wine for my wife. The appetizers included Chicken Tinga Nachos, with sour cream, guacamole, and salsa, which were quite tasty and a large-enough serving to satisfy. Service was capable; and, a To-go order for our daughter was expertly packaged and delivered to our table. Great stop for a light supper. Our second visit included three coffees for 'breakfast as we weren 't hungry enough to each. The Cafe Mocha and Latte were expertly prepared with Starbucks coffee. I opted for self-serve drip coffee, as I like to mix decaf and dark roast. It was so delicious, I took up the offer for free refills and had a second Venti cup!
Great lunch selections at a reasonable price. I always order the French onion grilled cheese and add grilled chicken. It comes with tomato basil soup and one additional side. I normally get the coleslaw for mine. Currents is located in the Hyatt.
Service could improve. Appears disorganized. Food is bland. I recommend exploring other options if thinking of dinning here.
I'm so happy to find a reasonably priced salad bar in the Downtown area. River view Bistro is located in the Aetna/Baptist building on the second floor. Its a vegan persons deli dreams come true. Not only do they a have a full service salad bar, at a very reasonably priced point of $4.95 plus tax. They offer a good variety of veggie items that included steamed broccoli, summer squash and corn on the cob. The staff really friendly, and unique and vast selections of entries to try. This weeks specials included a sushi bar, wing bar, jerk chicken, and beer battered cod. They also had, freshly made cakes and cookies, a build your own personal pan pizza, two grab and go cases and a few different types of soups. You would have to check their Facebook page to see what the weekly specials are. Compared to other places in the area, their lunch items are very well priced. This place will quickly become one of my lunch hot spots. My wallet and waist line will thank me.
This place is good for what it is, which is an office cafeteria. I wouldn't come here if I didnt work in the building, but being that I do work here, I enjoy this place. They have a good breakfast offering, with standard breakfast sandwiches, eggs, bacon, etc. Their biscuits and gravy are surprisingly amazing. Lunch is good too, with a lot of variety. They have 3 or 4 rotating soups, and all of the ones I have had have been delicious. They also have a sandwich/wrap bar, and a grill for things like burgers. They always have healthy options, including grilled chicken and veggie burgers, with steamed vegetables for sides and they have good salad options. The Daily specials are usually good but I try to stay away because they are generally heavy on the fat, carbs and salt. The seating area is very nice compared to your average office cafeteria. The wall is a window looking over the river and there is always plenty of seating.
